He was Only a Man

I know that this blog is seldom serious, but I'd like to take a moment to make a solemn post in memory of a great and influential person who recently passed away.

His name, and his famous voice were known and loved by many people in America and worldwide, and his fans were devastated to hear of his death while he was still so young.

He had the potential to do so much more for the world, but he recently died unexpectedly and tragically at the age of 50.

The powerful yet beautiful voice of an angel has been suddenly silenced before its time.

Rest in Peace, Billy Mays (July 20, 1958 – June 28, 2009)

Nasty Business, Really...

This is the title screen of a new game I'm working on with Game Maker. People complained (truthfully, I'll admit) that I never finish any of my projects, so I decided to make a short game based on a simple idea that wouldn't present too many challenges to make. As soon as I decided on my idea, I couldn't wait to finish. I seldom feel this motivated by a project, so you can actually expect to see this completed someday. With my exams all over next week, I've got a long time to work on this, so with a bit of luck it might be done by the end of July.

In case you're wondering who the heck Del Preston is, and why he deserves his own video game, I'll give you a piece of advice that I give to pretty much everyone: watch the Wayne's World films.

If you don't have time for that, then at least watch this:

The story of my game is entirely based around that heroic and heart-warming tale.

I'm Still Alive

So I've been inactive for a teensy while, but that was due in part to losing my laptop full of stuff and thus my ability to use the Internet for extended periods of time, and mostly due to laziness. A lot has happened since I left. I've gained some friends, lost some friends, not to mention ruining my chances of getting into university.

Still, I'm back, although I doubt anybody really cares. I'm not going to write about everything that I've done over the months I've been gone, but I will start to update a little more regularly. I got Left 4 Dead (good), Fallout 3 (alright), Gears of War 2 (meh) for the Xbox and watched a whole lot of films, so I might put some reviews up in future.

In the meanwhile, enjoy the 28 Days Later theme redone on Mario Paint Composer:

Peace.
